Top ten hot tubs

While buying a hot tub is all the owners’ choice it all depends on their individual needs as to what one would call the best hot tub.
There is no poll which lists the exact top ten hot tubs as information is scarce on this subject. However we can list some of the top hot tub manufactures and some of the top hotels spas from around the world to compensate.

First it depends on what type of hot tub you require. Here is a list of some of the options.

Above-ground acrylic hot tubs come within the range of $3,000 to $10,000 for most
These spas are made of an acrylic or OAS (olefin acrylonitrile-styrene) shell with fibreglass or foam understructure and a wood or synthetic cabinet and are regarded as the most popular. They require a firm surface and are difficult to move but are considered portable. They require a concrete pad, for proper installation. Some models also require a special electrical outlet. With over 100 manufacturers and countless options and add-ons, these spas are the best all-around choice for most families.

Inflatable and portable hot tubs come within the range of $800 to $2,000 for most
These are the least expensive type of spa. They are considerably less durable, making them an unsuitable long-term investment but are much more portable than standard above-ground spas. Vinyl, nylon and plastic are the main components in various mixtures. These budget spas can be set up nearly anywhere and packed away when not in use. Many use a blower system that circulates air in the water, although a few models use traditional jets. The major drawback in reviews is that because the cheapest models blow air instead of hot water to create bubbles, the water temperature drops quickly. That makes these hot tubs best for short soaks of 15 to 30 minutes.

Wooden hot tubs come within the range of $1,500 to $7,000 for most
Generally constructed of cedar, teak, or redwood, wooden hot tubs have a more rustic look and feel. Priced similarly to standard above-ground spas, wooden hot tubs closely resemble the acrylic tubs and boast natural aromatherapy from the fragrant woods used in construction. Like other above-ground spas, they require a firm surface for proper installation, alternative heat sources are electrical, gas or wood. These hot tubs require extensive maintenance but are simple in style and can lack many of the options found in other spa types. They are available from specialty retailers and in do-it-yourself kits.

In-ground spas come within the range of $5,000 and up
The most expensive type of spa, installation requires excavation and you need to hire a contractor, as well as someone to do both plumbing and electrical work. They are Pricier but can improve property value. They are made of pneumatically applied concrete or standard concrete, usually with a decorative tile overlay. Most in-ground hot tubs have basic seating arrangements, generally consisting of bench seats or step-type. These hot tubs are also the most expensive type to operate and maintain, but they heat faster, hold their heat better, and can be more aesthetically pleasing than other spas. They are also the only type of spa practically guaranteed to raise the value of a home.
